Rafizah Munir

Rafizah is the founding member of MedX and has been growing the business since it was incorporated in 2004, even while she was still pursuing her studies. Rafizah received her higher education from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Shah Alam. In 2003, she graduated with Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies (Hons.) (Advertising). She then pursued her studies and undertook the Masters of Business Administration (Marketing) program from the same university and graduated in 2005.

Considering her academic qualifications and determination to achieve the best of her work, it is certain that she will be able to commit herself toward expanding the business.

Harizun Mokhtar

Harizun graduated from Institute Tun Abdul Razak in Kuala Lumpur with a Diploma in Business Administration in 2000. As the co-founder of Medx, Harizun has contributed substantial amount of effort in building and establishing the company.

Harizun has always been entrepreneurial, a quality he has been demonstrating since his high school years. Being ambitious, Harizun is a young lad that could be depended on in striving for the success and growth of the company.

Mokhtar Bin Mohd Noh

Mokhtar has served Bank Negara Malaysia since 1969. After serving the government for 37 years, he retired as the Manager of the East Coast Region in 2006. Mokhtar received his Bachelor of Mass Communication (Public Relations) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) (Shah Alam) in 1997. Mokhtar also served Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) for 28 years (1974 till 2002) as part-time duty announcer, sports commentator and news reader.

With his vast knowledge and experience in the banking and media industry, it is certain that Mokhtar is an asset for MedX.

Media and Communications

There are many aspects relating to communications and media and in today’s competitive market, creating and delivering highly creative work is crucial. Thus, in an effort to attract and maintain clients, MedX diversifies into several services relating to media and communications including;

1. Media buying – We purchase advertising time (or space) from other media outlets, thereafter reselling it to individual companies.
2. Media planning– Not only do we purchase advertising airtime for clients; we also consult them on scheduling their advertising and promotions activities effectively.
3. Production – We write copy and prepare artwork, graphics, and other creative work, and then place the resulting ads on television, radio, or the Internet or in periodicals, newspapers, or other advertising media.
4. Event management – We organize client-sponsored publicity events, such as contests, concerts, exhibits, symposia, and sporting and charity events. We also provide security, P.A systems as well as lighting, effects and DJ equipments.
5. Model and artist– Clients could tell us what they have in mind and we will find the perfect act for their corporate events, private parties, special events, trade shows and fund raisers.

Trading

Other than media services, another main business that the company ventures into is trading. We supply a wide range of local made products as well as imported goods from several Asian countries including China, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. We offer various items for various industries including;

i. Corporate- We offer premium items (such as key chains, pen, crystal products and paper weight) which are suitable to be used as corporate gifts, door gifts or ‘goodies’ during events. The items are helpful in securing public image and also for promotion purposes. We also have wide range of stationeries which are suitable for office usage.

ii. University, College and School- We supply stationeries, name tag, sports attire, clothes, exercise book and others.

iii. Hospital, Nursing College and Clinic- The main product that we supply for these industries is the nurse’s cardigan. While our designs are stylish and the materials are of the highest quality, we offer the cardigans at low prices. We also supply nurse cap and nurse watch, uniform and shoes for nurses as well as for other medical personnel and several other items common in the health industry such as beddings and curtain.

Training Programs

MedX also provides various training programs for various industries. We have within our pool of resources of professionals designing the training programs. Although we have readily available programs, we also offer specific programs tailored to our clients’ needs and wants (Kindly refer to the attachment for list of our training programs)

Media Expert (MedX) was incorporated on 28^th October 2004. Registered with the Ministry of Finance, the company is 100% owned and managed by bumiputera individuals. Its management team comprise of individuals with vast educational and business backgrounds.

During its humble beginning, MedX’s income was generated solely from trading activities, mainly from supplying t-shirts, stationeries, uniforms and several other items to government and corporate agencies.

Today, MedX has expanded and offers a wide range of products and services. The company has also diversified into two other businesses that is goat farming and food business through its affiliate companies, Foodwork and Farm Expert.
